Every principal resident will be required to certify their yearly presence – under penalty of perjury. And your fiscal penalty may be doubled should the city disagree with your declaration or proof of same.
Tenants are also included in the requirement to certify their yearly presence in Astoria. 183 days required or pay.
Proponents of this measure tell us it’s a “simple form.” A review of the measure, the accompanying documentation and FAQs don’t support that premise. And we’ve not seen the “simple form.”
